Cancellation by the guest (cancellation policy)


We understand that travel plans can sometimes change. Should the guest wish to cancel their booking, this can be done at any time in writing (by email or letter) to the host.


The decisive factor is the point in time at which the notice of cancellation is received by the host.

Free cancellation is possible up to five days before the planned arrival date.


If you cancel after this point, the full booking amount will be due; unfortunately, a refund is no longer possible.


Example:

  • Booking date: October 12, 2023
  • Arrival date: November 12, 2023
  • Free cancellation until: November 6, 2023, 11:59 PM



Withdrawal by the host


In rare cases where the booked accommodation is not available as planned – for example due to water damage, technical problems or other unforeseen events – the host will make every effort to offer the guest an equivalent alternative accommodation without delay.


This alternative accommodation will be equivalent to or better than the originally booked accommodation in terms of location, amenities, and price. There will be no additional costs for the guest.


If no suitable alternative accommodation is available, the amount already paid will be fully refunded. This does not affect any further claims the guest may have.
